About Us

History

Our story starts way back, .

The organization known as IAPZ was founded in August 2016 in response to the persistent social, political, and economic needs that exist within many rural communities in Zimbabwe, as well as some urban areas. The creation of IAPZ was motivated by a desire to address these needs in a timely and humane manner. Many of these communities have experienced structural deprivation of basic necessities and rising unemployment rates since the turn of the millennium, leading to widespread reliance on daily survival strategies as a result of the country’s ongoing economic recession. As one of the poorest countries in the world, there is a pressing need for initiatives like IAPZ to combat poverty in Zimbabwe.

IAPZ’s programs are designed to support the social, political, and economic development of these communities, as well as provide support for new start-up projects and established organizations and businesses. This support takes the form of services, goods, and procedures that are intended to initiate the process of poverty reduction. Additionally, IAPZ works to increase economic opportunities for individuals and communities, with the aim of improving their capacity to work, consume, and accumulate wealth. These efforts are essential for ensuring access to food, material well-being, and social standing, and are central to improving the overall quality of life for these communities.

By offering services in the areas of health, education, nutrition, clean water, and shelter, IAPZ seeks to enhance human potential and improve local livelihoods. These services are fundamental to overall wellbeing and are key tools for promoting prosperity and stability within these communities.

Social entrepreneurship is a concept that combines the principles of entrepreneurship with the goal of addressing social issues and creating positive societal change. IAPZ is a non-governmental organization that utilizes this approach to combat poverty in a manner that is customized to the specific needs of various communities in Zimbabwe. This may involve providing technical assistance, developing and implementing targeted projects, and offering management support to economically and socially disadvantaged communities.
